Until Dawn is a multiple ending game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It follows a group of friends vacationing at a mountain lodge in the midst of winter, who’ve come together on the one year anniversary of a tragedy, in hopes of gaining closure and remembering the lost.
Counterspy is a crazy cool mix of side-scroller elements combined with stealth and shooting moments that work out well. Two dimensional and three dimensional art styles are mixed together providing the best of both worlds in this indie-style title developed by Dynamighty and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Though this is the first game Dynamighty has ever created, the team is made up mainly of industry veterans from the days of LucasArts and the quality of it gives all of us here at RGN great hope that this team of ten will be a positive influence on the video games industry overall.
Presentation: The Order: 1886 is Ready at Dawn’s first big game, compared to the scale of the God of War PSP titles. It is a cinematic third person shooter/adventure game. The game takes place in a Victorian-like London during 1886. Basically a sort of future/past mix version of that time period. While the game feels fresh, it has some shortcomings.
It doesn’t come as a surprise to me when I say Little Big Planet is back and better than ever. I mean, with 3 new characters, completely new story, new customization, and the ability to play all of the player created maps from the original? Yeah, Little Big Planet is back and it’s better than ever. If you have loved the previous installments, as I have, then there really isn’t a reason for you to not buy Little Big Planet 3. The game offers new characters, new styles of play, and new ways to enjoy your time. Little Big Planet 3 is the best game in the installment for many reasons, but it’s also the biggest one as well.
As a long time fan of Infamous I was somewhat excited to grab this with little to no expectations. From the get go my mind was blown though. The motion controllers with the controller as well as the pads are used in maybe not the most useful way, but in an awesome way that makes me constantly keep wanting to go back for more. Infamous: Second Son is by far the best in the series and possibly the best PS4 game currently out.
Zen Pinball 2 takes a different approach to the video game interpretation of Pinball. Instead of using already established tables from the retro era, Zen Pinball 2 has completely digitally inspired Pinball tables that function as fantasy boards – my favorites of which are the Darth Vader table and the Plants VS. Zombies table. If you already own a lot of tables from the PlayStation 3 version of the game, you can import your ownership of those tables into the PS4 version – which is nice for people who are already invested in this Pinball experience. As new tables are released for the game, you can indulge yourself in a demo play-through before deciding if you want to skip or purchase them.
Doki Doki Universe starts off by introducing the main character, a robot who has been abandoned by his family for being outdated. The overall task which players will spend the rest of the game working towards is then presented, this robot must get Humanity training and pass Alien Jeff’s reports or be sentenced to de-construction (along with all other robots that share the same model number as it). “Humanity is about understanding others” is the advice players are greeted with.
