Fallout 76: My First 76 Hours Reviewed (v1.03)

Fallout 76 is an online-only exploration and survival role playing shooter game quite unlike any other. This spin-off title was developed by BattleCry Studios (which was folded into Bethesda Game Studios in March 2018), and while the release has been marred by various controversies surrounding leaks, the gameâs launch, and the handling of customer relations, this review will seek to discuss the actual game itself after an extensive amount of gameplay and deep dive on what this live experience has to offer for those who are still interested in playing.
We Happy Few Real Gamer Review

We Happy Few is a game that I have personally been very interested since it was shown off years ago at E3. It had that very weird feeling that a game like Bioshock can give you but was also seemingly new and unique, at least from a visual and story standpoint. It started as a Kickstarter project that gained traction fast, then was picked up by Gearbox for publishing rights. Now the game has been in early access on the Xbox preview program since mid-2016, but I have not played that build of the game, so I canât speak on it.
MOTHERGUNSHIP Review

If youâve been playing shooter video games since the days of Quake and Unreal Tournament you may be finding the likes of Call of Duty or Battlefield too convoluted by kill-streaks, character classes, perks then you may enjoy MOTHERGUNSHIP. The creator behind Tower of Guns joins up with Grip Digital and Terrible Posture Games to produce the next chapter in the bullet hell genre.
Injustice 2 Review

Injustice 2 is the sequel to 2013âs top fighting game, Injustice Godâs Among Us. Featuring a large cast of peopleâs favorite DC characters such as Batman, Superman, Swamp Thing, Harley Quinn, and Wonder Woman. Expanding upon some of the first games mechanics, and making iterations to the formula, does Injustice 2 offer a premiere pro fighting experience?
MLB The Show 17 Review
MLB The Show 17 came out recently and is one of the greatest baseball games in the series. The Show has been around since 2006 where developer SIE San Diego Studio has been working on the series since its inception on the PS2. They have put their feet in a few other games over the years such as: Modnation Racers, LittleBigPlanet Karting, and Kill Strain. They had some competition up until its last game in 2013 with Major League Baseball 2k13. This is also the first year that the developer has been able to create the game solely on PS4 and not have to do a copy of the PS3.
Need for Speed Strategy Guide Review

Interested in picking up EAâs Need for Speed reboot but arenât exactly the best racer around? Prima Games have made it their mission to turn you into street kings and queens with the release of their official strategy guide.
NHL 16 Review

NHL 16 is the most recent addition to the NHL series of games by EA Sports. Following a poor showing in last yearâs NHL title, many expected EA to have a much better showing in this year by overcoming the growing pains of the newest console generation. Whilst there is versions of this game for the previous console generation (360 and PS3), this review covers the current generationâs iterations (XBONE and PS4).
Until Dawn Review

Until Dawn is a multiple ending game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It follows a group of friends vacationing at a mountain lodge in the midst of winter, whoâve come together on the one year anniversary of a tragedy, in hopes of gaining closure and remembering the lost.
Batman Arkham Knight Review, Be Vengeance , Be The Night, Be The Batman
Be the Dark Knight in the highly anticipated sequel to Batman Arkham City. Follow Batman through the night as he strikes and fights fear. Face off against several of his greatest enemies featuring Scarecrow, The Riddler, Two Face, Harley Quinn, The Penguin, and the Arkham Knight. Batman is pushed to the limit to save Gotham, the city he loves, one last time.
The Evil Within: The Executioner DLC Review

In the final DLC of The Evil Within titled, The Executioner, surviving STEM takes a turn for the better. Enemies that once inspired fear received an unimpressed grunt before meeting their doom at the end of a massive spiked hammer. Areas that conjured dread at the notion of exploring were now comfortable and cozy. Playing as The Keeper made it all feel like home.
NOT A HERO Review

âA violent today for a better tomorrow.â
Time travellers these days, am I right? In a game with no relation to the Magneto comic book of similar title, BunnyLord has come back to win elections but that means cleaning up the streets and although heâs not above getting his own hands dirty a number of times throughout the 21 days of campaigning, players are going to help a LOT. This involves taking cover behind bricks, whateverâs around, firing shots at increasingly difficult hordes of enemies, sliding to cover, execution style attacks, grenades, laser beams, rocket launcher â type bullets, grenade-shots, drill-shots, turrets, nail bombs, and whateverâs handy really.
The Evil Within: The Consequence DLC Review

Never have I ever been so happy to get a gun. In the second DLC of The Evil Within, titled The Consequence, Juli Kidman breaks her bonds and goes on the offense. Where once she only had the option to flee, now sheâs been granted the ability to instigate the violence in her favor.
Shovel Knight PS4 / Vita Review, 8 Bit Memories Remastered

Shovel Knight is a 2D platformer in which the graphics featured are of an 8 bit style. Players take the role of Shovel Knight who after losing his comrade Shield Knight has gone into isolation. But now monsters and evil knights control the land. All of them under the hand of the evil Enchantress, and only you can stop them and free the land. So boys and girls, erm men and women, this is Shovel Knight, the retro hero.
Titan Souls PS4 Review

Although this game perhaps needs no introduction, Iâll start by saying Titan Souls is one of the recent indie-developed games that are part of a larger wave of software focusing squarely on gameplay. Thatâs not to say it doesnât look and sound great, but surely in a world where multiple hundreds of millions of dollars are being spent on big budget games we are looking for pure gameplay design to merit purchases from smaller studios or even teams of three such as the case with Titan Souls.
Rack N Ruin PS4 Review
Reaching into the nostalgia of Action RPG exploration and pulling out the very best game mechanics while managing to forge completely new feels at the same time arrives Rack N Ruin on the PlayStation 4 from LifeSpark Entertainment made up of former Blizzard Entertainment talent reborn in the indie world. Hit up merchants for unique spells, collect the souls of the innocent for your devilish masters, and survive onslaughts from wizards, knights, dragons, even cryptic warriors as abilities are earned and willpower is tested. Players take the role of one dark minion who must wreak havoc on well prepared armies of âdo-goodersâ, rid dungeons of the filthy âgoodie goodiesâ, solve a few puzzles here and there just to get every door unlocked, leave no stone un-turned, no chest un-pillaged (thatâs a word right?), and engage in dark humor laughing maniacally the whole time.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Review

Back and bloodier than ever, the so-called âfinal chapterâ of this brutal series, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number takes place before and after the initial game in the series, but mainly after. A sequel and a prequel at the same time, if you will, the game has plenty of characters to play as. The Fans, Martin Brown, Beard, The Writer, etc. Most have their own abilities, such as The Fans all being vastly different. Mark can dual wield SMGs which can be aimed at two different targets simultaneously, Corey can roll out of the way of bullets, Tony can one-hit kill people with his fist but cannot pick up weapons, and The Twins can be controlled at the same time; one wielding a chainsaw and the other grabbing weapons off the ground.
Ironclad Tactics PS4 Review

Ironclad Tactics comes from developer Zachtronics, an indie game developer that has several games in their portfolio which are mainly based on puzzle mechanics of some sort. Their main games other than this release are Infinifactory (our hands-on preview here) and Spacechem. Ironclad Tactics is a strategy game that takes on elements of a collectible card game as a way of controlling units in-game. It was originally released in September 2013 for Windows and Linux then followed releases on Android in October 2014 and hit the PlayStation 4 this year. The story for Ironclad Tactics takes place in an alternate version of 1860 during the American Civil War and follows the two main characters of Joseph and Maxwell who are employed in the Navyâs Bureau of Steam Engineering. They have developed a new kind of mech soldier called Ironclads which run off steam. They are not the only oneâs developing Ironclad units though since they are also being developed by the Confederates for the war. The entire story is told with comic strips that are animated to keep the story flowing forward.
Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Review

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions is a fast paced twin-stick shooter from developer, Lucid Games. The sixth (Yes sixth) installment in the Geometry Wars series, sees players blast their way through waves of countless enemies while maneuvering on 2D and now also 3 dimensional grids. Did Lucid deliver a title worthy of your attention? Is the sun hot?
Never Alone Review

Never Alone comes from development studio Upper One Games which started back in 2012 and is known for being the first indigenous owned company in the United States. They have teamed up with E-Line Media to publish Never Alone. Never Alone is the first game of its own kind in the aspect that it combines the culture of the native people of Alaska known as the Inupiat with action and adventure to create a truly great gameplay experience.
Little Big Planet 3 Review

It doesnât come as a surprise to me when I say Little Big Planet is back and better than ever. I mean, with 3 new characters, completely new story, new customization, and the ability to play all of the player created maps from the original? Yeah, Little Big Planet is back and itâs better than ever. If you have loved the previous installments, as I have, then there really isnât a reason for you to not buy Little Big Planet 3. The game offers new characters, new styles of play, and new ways to enjoy your time. Little Big Planet 3 is the best game in the installment for many reasons, but itâs also the biggest one as well.
Assassinâs Creed Unity Review

I havenât fully beaten an Assassinâs Creed game since the 2nd installment. I would lose interest in the game far too quickly for several reasons. This series hasnât been able to captivate me since that title. Black Flag is a toss up, as I ran out of time to play it. Assassinâs Creed Unity is a somewhat different experience for me as I am able to play for hours on end without falling over due to boredom, so in that sense we are seeing improvement.
Just Dance 2015 Review

Just Dance 2015 is the sixth iteration of the best selling dancing franchise from Ubisoft. The first title came out in 2009 and every year since they have been adding iterations of their games with new songs in each one as well as new features making it one of the best dance games on the market. Ubisoft is best known for some of their franchises that have just gotten bigger with time such as: Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Splinter Cell, Rayman, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Prince of Persia, and of course Just Dance.
The Legend of Korra Review
The Legend of Korra is a beat em title from PlatinumGames. Based on the popular and critically acclaimed Nickelodeon television series of the same name, the newest game takes place during Seasons 2 and 3. Was the developer able do the series and character justice, or does The Legend of Korra fall to the same trappings as many other license titles before it? Sadly its the latter.
The Evil Within Review

The Evil Within is a third person survival horror game from Tango Gameworks and Bethesda Softworks. Set in a twisted world filled with horrible creatures, ever present mortal threats and mind bending hallucinations, this story follows detective Sebastian Castellanos and his fight to stay alive. After responding to the scene of a mass murder he is separated from his partners and knocked unconscious. Horror ensues.
