Party Hard 2 Review

Party Hard is a unique serial killer simulator released in 2015 that attempts to combine dark comedy with enjoyable gameplay and gruesome, but calculated murder. The result was a huge hit with the Steam version of the game receiving very positive reviews from thousands of gamers. With a pixel art landscape, stealth objectives, and various strategies to enact in order to achieve your goals, players must take out certain members (or the entire crowd) of an ongoing party. This has to happen with the least disruption and panic as to avoid being caught by the police. Witnesses are also not good!

The Evil Within: The Executioner DLC Review

The-Evil-Within-The-Executioner-pc

In the final DLC of The Evil Within titled, The Executioner, surviving STEM takes a turn for the better. Enemies that once inspired fear received an unimpressed grunt before meeting their doom at the end of a massive spiked hammer. Areas that conjured dread at the notion of exploring were now comfortable and cozy. Playing as The Keeper made it all feel like home.

NOT A HERO Review

Not-a-Hero-GIF-2

“A violent today for a better tomorrow.”

Time travellers these days, am I right? In a game with no relation to the Magneto comic book of similar title, BunnyLord has come back to win elections but that means cleaning up the streets and although he’s not above getting his own hands dirty a number of times throughout the 21 days of campaigning, players are going to help a LOT. This involves taking cover behind bricks, whatever’s around, firing shots at increasingly difficult hordes of enemies, sliding to cover, execution style attacks, grenades, laser beams, rocket launcher – type bullets, grenade-shots, drill-shots, turrets, nail bombs, and whatever’s handy really.

Crypt of the NecroDancer Review

Crypt of the Necrodancer Review - RealGamerNewz

Giving a wide variety of dungeons and scenarios for players to experience, Crypt of the NecroDancer is a Roguelike RPG game which actually takes the key principals of the Roguelike genre seriously. Designed by Ryan Clark and Brace Yourself Games, a huge gameplay twist is applied to the title as players are tasked with keeping their rhythm similar to something out of a Dance Dance Revolution style of play. There can even be dance pads hooked up to play! The soundtrack included in the game provides a tempo for the bouncing and bopping to commence to which even garnered an honorable mention for 2015 Game Developers Choice Awards for Innovation and Best Audio among other moments of significant industry recognition. The soundtrack gets new tracks unlocked as the game progresses as well as  is extended if players reach New Game+ / New Game++ modes allowing for unlocked gear to be carried over. Alternatively, a custom MP3 collection can be used as a user soundtrack.

I Am Bread Review

I Am Bread Review - RealGamerNewz

This is an incredible game, don’t let the score being below a 7 fool you. We believe it was a hard earned amount of points and nearly full amount as well. Bossa Studios are very talented and while the silliness of some of their games is probably a topic of debate for many, we have no issue with it. We truly think it’s hilarious and inventive that they’ve found so many ways to get creative with such a simplistic concept. Control each corner of a piece of bread and attempt to get it into the toaster without being too dirty to eat, and it’s way harder than it sounds.

The Weaponographist Review 3 - Mastertronic - RealGamerNewz

Tasked with battling an ever-changing variety of enemy hordes room after room, The Weaponographist has players assuming the role of dungeoneer Doug McGrave who is seeking vengeance on a witch who has cursed his ability to hold on to goods or currency. Because of a refusal to aid a town in which the dungeon is overflowing with bad guys, this witch has given this main character a really raw deal. This means that each time a weapon is picked up it must be used until it’s no good then discarded.

The Escapists Steam Review (Time To Bust Out!)

The Escapist PC Cover

There are many indie games on the market today and whether that be on the PC, Xbox, or PlayStation each one has its own uniqueness and appeal to it.  Although, there are others that try to leech off of others successes, some do come out with their own originality. One of those games just happened to recently flip out of early access and bash into its own spot on Steam and it’s called “The Escapists.” The game puts you in the role of an inmate, who the player gets to lightly customize (i.e change his look, race, hair type) and name him whatever you see fit. You can also name other NPCs you interact with as well before you start each scenario. Once you start a new game it is definitely advisable to select the tutorial just due to the fact you can easily get confused about what your end goals are while playing.

Sorcerer King Steam Early Access Hands-On Preview

RealGamerNewz - Sorcerer King Beta 5 Stem Early Access

Now that the fifth Beta phase has been issued for Sorcerer King it’s high time RealGamerNewz drops our thoughts and feelings on the direction the title has been heading in thus far, the development studio’s vision for those who don’t know yet, and a general impression on how that vision is actually being delivered. Most importantly, whether or not this game is even fun. But first things first, there’s a few things you may not know about me which I’d like to disclose immediately.

Distance Steam Early Access Review

Distance Steam Early Access Review RealGamerNewz

This game has qualities that are reminiscent of Wipeout. It runs great and keeps its frame-rate at a smooth 60 frames per second even when you’re going at high speeds and when things get hectic. The only thing that keeps this game from getting a full 10 out of 10 is that we find the flying sequences break the immersion unfortunately keeping the player from getting in that full focus. Overall the game provides a psychedelic feeling of pleasure similar to what Wipeout could induce when playing. Even with the issue of flying sequences being troublesome, this game can still give you that feeling and players will have a crazy time playing it.

BOID Steam Early Access Review

BOID Steam Early Access Review RealGamerNewz

BOID is a game that reminds me a lot of StarCraft – but not in a good way since it doesn’t live up to that potential influence in a meaningful way. The graphics are decent but the gameplay looks like something you would get out of a Health book. The graphics are also not only if you keep in mind this is an indie RTS game.

Surgeon Simulator 2013 Anniversary Edition Review

Surgeon Simulator 2013 RealGamerNewz Review

Simulators have been all the rage in the past couple of years. From Goat Simulator to even a Grass Simulator, Simulators have been popping up a lot recently. While some are good and very entertaining the others are just downright random and not as great. Well here is a Simulator where bad controls meet surgical operations: Surgeon Simulator 2013 Anniversary Edition. Surgeon Simulator 2013 is probably one of the most popular simulator games out there that invoke you having to – what else?  – perform surgery in many different environments, and not all of them are the same either. One surgery has you removing and replacing a heart, another has you doing the same thing except you are in the back of a speeding ambulance.

Castle In The Darkness Review

Castle In The Darkness RealGamerNewz Steam Review

An incredible new game paying homage to yester-year has been created by Matt Kap, who is responsible for a great deal of the artwork in Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (among other titles). Castle In The Darkness is the definition of pristine in terms of polish for a Retro-Inspired Indie Platformer / Action RPG. The Kingdom of Alexandria’s fate rests on your tiny 8-ish-bit shoulders after your King has grown ill with a mysterious horde of monsters slaying every last guard in town… except you.

Sunless Sea is a sea faring game that involves strategy and relationships between your crew mates. Heroes of Might and Magic III - HD Edition Steam Review

For the 20th anniversary of the Heroes of Might & Magic franchise, we present to you the Heroes of Might & Magic III – HD Edition Steam Review. Before we begin, a brief history of the path this game has walked to arrive in front of you here today. Might & Magic began as a video game for the Apple II personal computer and eventually made its way to many other platforms including the Commodore 64, TurboGrafx-16 CD (in Japan), and eventually even the Nintendo NES. The game was one of the most early role playing games to emerge in the industry and was mostly created by one person, Jon Van Caneghem. Cities XXL Steam Review

Cities XXL RealGamerNewz Review 3

A whopping 599 thumbs down user reviews on Steam, but is it really a bad game or not? RealGamerNewz answers that and more.

When you actually read these reviews, you may start to notice that the major complaints most have against Cities XXL are related to user preference and fixed by existing mods already available for free with easy installation through Steam Workshop, or they are complaints about the game not running optimal enough. I can assure readers that RealGamerNewz has tested this game on a budget, entry-level machine complete with Quad Core processor from AMD and GTX 650 graphics card from NVIDIA (eVGA specifically), with no major issue the game is running for us on just 8 gigabytes of standard DDR3 RAM.

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Steam Review

David Cage RealGamerNewz GeekEssentials Heavy Rain Review

Indigo Prophecy is a game coming out of the Xbox original lineup of games that were very forgettable. Why this game was remastered is mind boggling. The story revolves around Lucas, a man who was possessed by a spirit that is trying to destroy the world… really original right? In fact that sounds very familiar. The game also has another character Carla. Lucas the main protagonist is involved around a conspiracy of the Indigo Child. Now let’s get onto the gameplay shall we? The gameplay is archaic, almost tank-style control themes that are very hard to control. The prompt system is based on a Simon-says style game and moving the right stick up and down to make decisions.

Rock Zombie Review

Rock Zombie Wii U Steam PC RealGamerNewz Review

Imagine an all woman rock band of witches playing and a zombie apocalypse breaks out, and they have to save the day.  That sounds like an awesome kick butt time, right? Rock Zombie is just that an amazing modern arcade-style game that was just recently released by EnjoyUp on the Wii U. The story follows a comic books style in between the levels for the cut scenes which is really fun and cool.

The band is a band of witches who love to rock the house, one night they start performing and all of the sudden they find something a miss. Might be the fact that there is a horde of zombies coming at them not crazy rock fans. They notice that there is a mysterious green fog coming from across town. So now they have to battle the zombies to get across town so that they can figure out what is causing people to turn to zombies.
