Crypt of the NecroDancer Review

Crypt of the Necrodancer Review - RealGamerNewz

Giving a wide variety of dungeons and scenarios for players to experience, Crypt of the NecroDancer is a Roguelike RPG game which actually takes the key principals of the Roguelike genre seriously. Designed by Ryan Clark and Brace Yourself Games, a huge gameplay twist is applied to the title as players are tasked with keeping their rhythm similar to something out of a Dance Dance Revolution style of play. There can even be dance pads hooked up to play! The soundtrack included in the game provides a tempo for the bouncing and bopping to commence to which even garnered an honorable mention for 2015 Game Developers Choice Awards for Innovation and Best Audio among other moments of significant industry recognition. The soundtrack gets new tracks unlocked as the game progresses as well as  is extended if players reach New Game+ / New Game++ modes allowing for unlocked gear to be carried over. Alternatively, a custom MP3 collection can be used as a user soundtrack.

Eschalon: Book III Review

Eschalon- Book III

One of the original formats of games, the traditional tabletop role playing game genre, is brought to life in Escahlon: Book III for beginners and pros to hash out their dice rolling dreams (and nightmares). To start things off, players select their Gender, Origin, Axiom, and Class while also setting a Portrait image (with custom images allowed as well) in addition to picking 15 available Skills and dice rolling attributes including Strength, Dexterity, Endurance, Speed, Intelligence, Wisdom, Perception, and Concentration (20 attribute points are also distributed manually by the player). Once all of this has been completed and a character has been given a name, the game begins. The skills available range from Light / Heavy Armor to Foraging, Medicine, Hiding in Shadows, Swords, Picking Locks, and much more. Choosing these skills will play a large role in defining the gameplay experience players will get out of their time with Eschalon: Book III. The game can be played in Hardcore mode (or lower settings) for additional difficulty as well.

Teleglitch: Die More Edition Review

Teleglitch Die More Edition RealgamerNewz Review

Introduction:

Welcome to the hardest game ever. Yes you heard that right! Teleglitch: Die More Edition is one of the hardest top view games I have ever played. The game is surely exciting and keeps players addicted for hours. It represents itself as quite a brilliant rouge-like game. The “Die More Edition” is an upgraded version of the original game released last year. Test3 Projects have executed a well made game which has a really difficult “difficulty”, much like the 1999 Mode in Bioshock Infinite.

The Pit: MindGames (Sword of the Stars: The Pit DLC) Review

Sword of the Stars MindGames DLC

If you haven’t heard of Sword of the Stars: The Pit then you need to. Roguelike is a sub-genre of Role Playing Games (RPGs) in which players can only die once, and instead of story the focus is on surviving, leveling up, and advancing your character through an unforgiving world. Sword of the Stars: The Pit (available on Steam today) is the equivalent of the ideal Roguelike. With flawless execution in satisfying the everyday gamer as well as the genre veteran simultaneously, try playing it on ‘Seriously!?’ difficulty mode right off the bat if you think you’re so tough that this game’s too new age. It isn’t. You’ll probably end up earning yourself the Ricky Fail Achievement for dying in the first round, which is just adding insult to injury at this point.
