Puyo Puyo Tetris is a nice crossover of Puyo and Tetris, developed by Sonic Team of all developer teams. This puzzle game hits many different platforms, but today we will be taking a look primarily at the Nintendo Switch version. I mean hey, who doesn’t play Tetris? Or Puyo?

I honestly didn’t expect much from this game since it was more for kids. But quiet honestly i had a lot of fun. From an adult perspective the story is cheesy and too simple, but that is to be expected cause it is for children. But as an adult, I actually had fun with it!
The puzzles were very well laid out, varied and actually quite challenging especially if you don’t stroll through it in casual mode. The puzzles are many and they vary from item finds, to word problems, or even connecting the dots ( and believe me it is actually harder than it sounds) and trust me, theirs many more puzzles than that to solve some more difficult than others.
Surge Deluxe is a puzzler from developer FuturLab. The game is a redone version of a PS Mobile title that came out a few years back and the changes here are quite welcome.
The game is a tile matching puzzle game that starts off pretty simple and does an incredibly good job of explaining the systems in place. It gets pretty challenging when you’re not only trying to maximize your score but also maintain the vents on the side of the screen from building up too much pressure. Build up too much pressure in the vents on the side of the screen and it’s game over for you.
Gravity Badgers is a gravity-based game similar to the Angry Birds franchise. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really become more than that which is a shame. This title is not bad by any means, but doesn’t push the genre to a new level and doesn’t experiment with new gameplay mechanics.
Ethan: Meteor Hunter is a 2D puzzle/platformer from developers Seaven Studio. It stars the titular protagonist, a little rat who is struck by meteorites and gains the power of telekinesis. With this new found power, Ethan goes on an adventure to collect more meteorites in order to become even more powerful. His overall goal however is to get revenge on the neighbor who destroyed his house. Is this a revenge tale worth getting into? In short…no!
Monkey Mofo probably gets its name from the fact that it will puzzle your brain like a Mofo! But as it’s just a monkey it dissarms the word a bit, making it a deceptively difficult game to master and yet easy and addictive enough at the onset to get you hooked. All of the mistakes players will make while trying to keep up with the game’s rapid speed could have them feeling a bit dumb, but instead of blaming yourself – pushing forward into the later stages actually provides an extremely rewarding feeling of gaining extra intelligence as has become very popular with other brain-tasking titles in the recent past.
Knytt Underground is a platformer where the player explores wide varieties of environments. It is a title for PS3, Vita, Steam and Wii U. For the Wii U version, the Gamepad and Wii U Pro Controller are supported with off-screen play as an option as well via Gamepad Support and cross-save cloud support with the dual ownership cross-buy deal for PS3 / Vita owners.

Now this title has to be one of the most unique titles I have ever played, even when it comes to the puzzle genre. Mario Castañeda the artist on this title seems to have crafted some kind of a masterpiece in this 2D game with the art, the levels, and challenges all leading up to crossing the bridge.
Mountain Crime: Requital is a game from the headquarters of game publisher, Alawar, located in Russia, Novosibirsk, and developed by Alawar Stargaze studio, located in Russia, Barnaul. Alawar Entertainment has brought the point-and-click adventure genre to a new level of entertainment. The Action-based atmosphere of this game allows you to go at your own pace, for impatient gamers who may have previously never wanted to play a point-and-click adventure game this is your game. Mountain Crime: Requital allows players to quickly blast through their favorite parts of the game with adrenaline pumping moments that will make you feel fully immersed in the game’s story and even gameplay as your eyes are scanning every new scene you run into for clues.
Thomas Was Alone starts out as a platformer that talks to you, but it becomes so much more as it tells the story of an intuitive plot that lends itself to gameplay, or was it vice versa? One can’t be too sure with such an introspective narrative that quickly becomes one metacognitive realization after another.
