Doki Doki Universe starts off by introducing the main character, a robot who has been abandoned by his family for being outdated. The overall task which players will spend the rest of the game working towards is then presented, this robot must get Humanity training and pass Alien Jeffâs reports or be sentenced to de-construction (along with all other robots that share the same model number as it). âHumanity is about understanding othersâ is the advice players are greeted with.

Ace of Spades: Battle Builder Post-Mortem Review

Ace of Spades is a PC Game available on Steam which released a short while back and has been on the tip of my tongue for some time now. With Minecraft landing on more platforms than ever, it is important that gamers of all types are aware of this alternative gameplay option. While Minecraft focuses on creation of worlds and role playing while surviving the wild, Ace of Spades is essentially Minecraft with guns but a lot more than that at the same time.
Teslagrad Review

Teslagrad is an indie title that melds a variety of items to solve puzzles in a Metroid-style map and a steam-punk universe. The game just released under a week ago for Steam and will also appear on the Wii U.
Blackguards (Hands-On) Preview

In Blackguards players start off on the wrong side of the law with little to no understanding of what was reality and what was fantasy. The main character witnesses a strange wolf, which almost seems possessed, killing a princess he knew well and was sworn to protect. When heâs killed the beast though the princess lays on the ground with blood all around her and there is now no wolf to be seen. The player is discovered and amongst the confusion hears a voice whisper out to him. Taking the blame for what happened, unsure of who is really responsible for what happened, and tortured in the pain of imprisonment both within his mind as well as literally Blackguards begins with the player on a quest for answers. RealGamerNewz Interviews PlayStation 4â˛s Basement Crawl Developers Bloober Team

Although we have had a little bit of trouble tracking down Bloober Team and securing an interview with them, our recent Basement Crawl Article previewing currently released information on their exclusive PS4 title Basement Crawl (releasing soon) caught the attention of Marc Colhoun who actually contacted us in the comments section of that very post leading to the following interview taking place. *Answers are unedited and uncensored thoughts of the developer, questions asked by myself, Jon Ireson (Editor-In-Chief).
RealGamerNewz:Â Whatâs it like working with Sony?
Bloober Team: Sony has been really great with us throughout the whole process of development with any questions that we had and even helping us with marketing.
RealGamerNewz:Â In what ways does Basement Crawl deviate from the classic retro game that inspired it?
Bloober Team:Â Basement Crawl is definitely inspired by a few things, we all love Bomberman here and we did take some inspiration from there but we were also inspired by grindhouse movies and I think that it shows in the final product. The way we set out to change this is that we have really brought this nostalgic feeling into a modern setting with modern mechanics and a very nice graphic style. On top of all this we really wanted to create the best multiplayer experience possible, so be it online or local, our game will fill the gap where the current titles out there seem to be falling short.
RealGamerNewz:Â How many hours have you personally put into playing the game while developing it?
Bloober Team: That is a really tough question actually⌠I have no idea, but really a lot. It is really addictive.
RealGamerNewz:Â Whatâs the most hilarious moment that occurred in development of Basement Crawl?
Bloober Team: Probably the day after GIK (http://gamesinvestkrakow.com/). Watching a full office of people hungover attempting to work is pretty great.
RealGamerNewz:Â Does Bloober Team have any interest in creating Basement Crawl DLC some day? If not, how about a sequel?
Bloober Team: We are currently discussing the future of Basement Crawl and what we feel we should do to support those who choose to pick it up. We arenât sure exactly what just yet⌠but we will support the game with extra content after the release.
RealGamerNewz:Â Will Bloober Team work on New IPs after this game? (spoiler alert: RealGamerNewz LOVES New IPs)
Bloober Team:Â We are working on something extremely unique and really exciting that I, unfortunately, canât talk about right now. (expect some content very soon though).
RealGamerNewz:Â Are there any hints at all (even a one word obscure tease) which you can provide for the project your team will provide after Basement Crawl?
Bloober Team:Â Half.
RealGamerNewz:Â What is your favorite game of all time?
Bloober Team: I really am not sure about this⌠I remember the feeling I got the first time I played Deus Ex and it blew me away, so I am tempted to say that but generally anything that gives me a bow and arrow gets much love from me.
RealGamerNewz:Â How did you discover the RealGamerNewz article about Basement Crawl?
Bloober Team: At Bloober Team we think that if someone has written about our company or one of our games, the least we can do is write to them and thank them as well as talking with their community and answering any and all questions that they have for us.
RealGamerNewz: Thank you for your time, one last question! When is the release date of Basement Crawl!? ![]()
Bloober Team:Â Basement Crawl will be released for PS4 at the beginning of 2014, we will fill the gap in really addictive and fun local and online multiplayer games.
***Editorâs Note: If you have any questions for the devs at Bloober Team be sure to leave them in the comments section below and weâll do our best to get them answered! RGN over and out!!!
Proteus Post-Mortem Review

Proteus is an indie developed game by a team of two individuals by the names of Ed Key and David Kanaga. To call it a game is unfair, as it is more of an experience. It was released in January of this year for Steam and October for Vita and PS3. This review is based on the Steam version. It plays smoothly on low-end PCs.
Warframe PS4 Review

Developer Digital Extremes was originally created by the man behind Sorcery in 1993 and grew to become the co-creationists of Unreal (the Epic Games franchise pre-dating Unreal Tournament) which took the PC Gaming world by storm. Digital Extremes since has co-developed Unreal Tournament, Unreal Championship, Unreal Tournament 2003, and Unreal Tournament 2004 alongside Epic Games leading to over 15 million worldwide sales across a myriad of platforms and has also been responsible for the New IP Dark Sector that had the gaming world abuzz as it was revealed as one of the first ânext-genâ titles back when PS3 and Xbox 360 specs were merely whispers in the dark.
Sonic: Lost World Wii U Review

Sonic Lost World is Sonic Teamâs first Wii U exclusive title starring Segaâs blue speedy mascot. It was released in October worldwide. It released for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, with the 3DS version acting as a companion software for the Wii U version. It follows Sonic and Tailsâ rescue of animals captured by Dr Robotnik/Eggman and his new allies (not for long however) the Deadly Six. The Deadly Six push a new story type that no longer relies on Eggmanâs character but instead pits Sonic against new foes to match the new game feel. The game supports the Gamepad, WiiMote with Classic Controller Pro or WiiMote with Nunchuck. It offers a pseudo co-op mode similar to Super Mario Galaxy allowing a second player to deploy items and kill enemies as well as off-screen play.
Pikmin 3 Wii U Review
Pikmin 3 is the third game in the real time strategy Pikmin series and the first game since 2004âs Nintendo GameCube title Pikmin 2. The brainchild of Shigeru Miyamoto, Pikmin 3 was announced in 2008 for Wii and after a long wait, was released for the Wii U in August 2013. Pikmin stars three new heroes, Alph, Brittany and Charlie who unlike the previous heroes (Olimar and Louie) are not searching for things of monetary value, but instead search for food. This title supports the Gamepad, Wii U Pro Controller and the Wii Controller with Nunchuk, offering a split screen mode and allows for Off-Screen Play.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow â Mirror of Fate HD Review

Mirror of Fate HD is the console port of Konamiâs Nintendo 3DS title which installed the Lords of Shadow series into the handheld console. Mirror of Fate is not a 3D action adventure title like Lords of Shadow though, and instead harkens back to the good old days when Castlevania was a 2D open world type of game. With a less linear approach to things, Mirror of Fate HD extends the Castlevania: LoS series into the 2D world with 3D character models as well as other assets including backgrounds fleshed out with new age graphical techniques.
IndieSpotlight: Superlumina: First Contact iOS

Intro:
RealGamerNewz had the recent opportunity to speak with the developers behind Superlumina about what was going through their minds when they put together Superlumina: First Contact for the iOS platform. While visually the game may resemble something like chess in space, the concepts behind the title prove to be far more deep than that. Superlumina: First Contactâs subtitle also plays on the fact that mankind has for the first time stepped out of the confines of our own galactic neighborhood and found life on other planet mid-war. Now our species must strategically navigate through such a treacherous universe our own way. Perhaps surprisingly, First Contact also plays on the fact that Superlumina is a taste of things to come as the developers behind the title revealed to me that the game is a first initiation into an entirely new and vast universe years in the making. Read on to learn a deep understanding of how Superlumina: First Contact on iOS works and what kind of universe it takes place in.
IndieSpotlight: A Wizardâs Lizard

I had the chance to speak with the developers behind A Wizardâs Lizard as well as get my hands on an early build of the title and on behalf of RealGamerNewz I must say what I played felt great. While this is a game that youâll definitely want to hook a controller up to your machine for, it can also be played with a mouse and keyboard. In case you havenât heard of it yet A Wizardâs Lizard is currently aimed for computer gamers on platforms like the Humble Store and is a Roguelike Action RPG game which pays homeage to the classics but has an entirely unique identity all on its own.
Super Meat Boy Review
oday we are going to talk about Super Meat Boy, an indie-game I canât keep my hands off of! The platform game was originally released as a flash game called âmeat boyâ developed by Edmund McMillen and Jonathan McEntee back in 2008. It was rated high upon thousands of users on Newgrounds.com and received overall good criticism.
Huntsman: The Orphanage Preview
Huntsman: The Orphanage is a mix between survival horror and adventure brought to you by ShadowShifters. The game is also a successfully green-lit project on Steam for Windows PC and Mac OS X with users allowed to pre-purchase it and get early access to play before the final build is completed. Huntsman has a lot of dialogue and story behind all the characters in the game. The premise of the game is to find all of the orphans that are in the game. They will present freaky messages to your smartphone and you have to find them and the items that theyâve lost in the orphanage. Once you have found these items you will have to find each of their headstones which are hidden in a maze and then you can set the items onto their headstone and their ghostly souls will be set free.
The New Way to Play God â Godus Hands-On Preview

From the moment you start up Godus, things are mysterious and quite wondrous. Youâll slowly be taught exactly whatâs going on at whatever pace your believers grow at. You are essentially playing as a higher power that exists and is believed in by the inhabitants of the world which you can influence. Youâre able to interact with the world by doing things like chopping down trees and reforming the landscape around to give your believers some new ground to colonize, but be careful as you may accidentally destroy some of your believers shelter in the process. You also need to click on your own followers / believers from time to time as your influence is necessary to keep them alive. Theyâll sometimes die on their own as well from accidentally walking off the land or what appear to be spontaneous health problems.
Hot Wheels: Worldâs Best Driver Review

At the risk of sounding like a meme, if you played with Hot Wheels then you had an awesome childhood. For those of us who came up during the golden age of pretty much everything from toys to video games, Hot Wheels were one of the favorites. In Hot Wheels: Worldâs Best Driver youâll approach the most interesting concepts brought forth by the original toy franchise as well as some of gamingâs best racing game mechanics in a journey to become the worldâs best driver.
The first step youâll take on this journey is selecting a color-coded team, each with their own primary focus (for example Green Team = Speed, Blue Team = High Tech) and then the racing begins. Youâll be able to switch between teams at any time and also unlock special abilities using tokens earned through in-game challenges. Hot Wheels: Worldâs Best Driver is expectedly focused on fun factor rather than realism and will see players chaining together drifts for miles, drifting on two wheels for hundreds of feet, performing deadly neck-breaking jumps, driving up and drifting across walls, and even more across a variety of locations that does a good job of preventing any amount of boredom normally associated with racing titles.
Gameplay:Â Racing and drifting are the most fun parts of the game by far. Precision driving events can be very frustrating at times, but also rewarding, and will eventually mold you into a better drive throughout the game. Stages such as tracks that become more and more narrow as time goes are easier to appreciate than the events that see you tediously navigating through complex precision courses with lots of stopping, jumping, and turning around.

There are also some really interesting events that have you doing things like stopping a 200mph speeding vehicle as close as you can to a finish line using a parachute and perfect timing. Overall the gameplay is very smooth, easy to get into, and most of all fun. The variety of so many different things to do in the game make it an experience that doesnât get stale, and youâll probably get more enjoyment than you might have expected from the brand we all grew up as kids playing with. Thereâs over 50 challenges in the game as well as a multiplayer mode and you can customize 24 different vehicles. Medals are earned and tracked in addition to stat-tracking across the four different teams youâll play as with various ways of completing each event.
Controls:Â Hot Wheels: Worldâs Best Driver handles really well. You donât need to be an expert at driving cars in order to enjoy this game. While the racing genre is heading towards a hyper-realistic standard, even for arcade racers, Hot Wheels brings it back to the pure enjoyment that all gamers can appreciate with the added bonus of over-the-top gameplay like riding up a wall or going through crazy tracks reminiscent of the actual Hot Wheels toy tracks. Thereâs nothing to really complain about in terms of controls, players of all skill levels should have no problem picking the game up and eventually mastering it.
Graphics / Art Direction:Â There are a number of different tracks in this game and each one has a different look and theme to it. Throughout this racing title youâll be treated to a high production value in terms of graphics and vibrant, refreshing displays with attentive art direction delivered. Firebrand Games has definitely surpassed expectations in this department showing their mastery of current gen console hardware.
Soundtrack, Audio, Voice:Â The soundtrack in this game is the upbeat tempo stuff youâd expect to find in a racing game but whatâs really cool is that often times the music has samples and sounds that are familiar to the video game industry. The audio of the vehicles sounds clear and appropriate, which is great since audio is important to the feel of a racing game. The voices can sometimes be annoying but they are also an important part of this game since they inform you of whatâs going on and what youâre supposed to be doing. Thanks to the voice-overs provided in this game, youâll never be confused or stuck wondering whatâs going on, which enables you to enjoy the game in a streamlined manner and worry about your gameplay not reading instructions.

Multiplayer Aspect:Â Up to 4 players can take part in local âHot Seat Modeâ multiplayer on one console in a pass-the-controller style fashion.
Replay Ability:Â High
Engine Performance, Physics, Glitches:Â The physics in the game is loosely based on that of real life racing but takes many liberties in pushing it more towards the arcade / fantasy side of things. Youâll get a good balance which leans mostly towards fast driving, easy to master drifting, and also enjoy ridiculous feats that could never be accomplished in real life such as driving sideways across walls, over insane ramps, and more. There were no glitches encountered in our play-through of Hot Wheels: Worldâs Best Driver and the game engine performed quickly and with stability.
Final Verdict:Â Hot Wheels: Worldâs Best Driver is a great game, thereâs really not much you can complain about with this racing title. We would have liked to see a full story mode / campaign added, and that led to a less than perfect score, however we definitely recommend this game to anybody that is looking for a pick-up-and-play experience capable of providing a good fun factor. The title is also age appropriate for all members of the family with the âE for Everyoneâ rating by the ESRB. The graphics, sounds, game engine, and fun factor all come together to make a well polished product from Firebrand Games and Warner Bros. Interactive earning it an impressive 9 out of 10 making it a Gold Game on the RealGamerNewz Rating Scale.
Overall Score: 9/10
RGN Rating: Gold Game
Developer: Firebrand Games Warner Bros. Interactive
Publisher:Â Warner Bros. Interactive
Available On:Â Wii U / PS3 / Xbox 360 / PC
Handheld Version Available On: DS / 3DS
Played On:Â PlayStation 3

Conquer The Galaxy⌠A âGalaxia Conquestumâ Review
That title sounded better in my head..
Galaxia Conquestum is a turn-base arcade game. First you select your faction and enter the galaxy map to strategically choose which galaxy youâll attempt to conquer. Then youâll be fighting in space through an arcade scrolling shooter to conquer that galaxy!
Charlie Murder Review
Charlie Murder is an interesting title right away from first glance. Itâs basically a heavy metal band experience. The catch is your band has to fight demonic beings such as zombies and even demons themselves using the power of hardcore metal. If youâre still wondering what Iâm talking about then go ahead and turn on a nice track of âscreamoâ while you take a read in our full Review brought to you by RealGamerNewz and Tristanâs Twisted World.
Turbo: Super Stunt Squad Review

Turbo: Super Stunt Squad will surprise you if you think itâs just a silly game for kids. Each time you start up a round you are given a short amount of time to make your way through an obstacle course which mixes racing with free-roam, trick-based concepts reminiscent of the Tony Hawk skateboarding video games of âyesteryearâ. This includes everything from grinding, half-pipes, âvertsâ, and a lot more.
Teleglitch: Die More Edition Review

Introduction:
Welcome to the hardest game ever. Yes you heard that right! Teleglitch: Die More Edition is one of the hardest top view games I have ever played. The game is surely exciting and keeps players addicted for hours. It represents itself as quite a brilliant rouge-like game. The âDie More Editionâ is an upgraded version of the original game released last year. Test3 Projects have executed a well made game which has a really difficult âdifficultyâ, much like the 1999 Mode in Bioshock Infinite.
The Pit: MindGames (Sword of the Stars: The Pit DLC) Review

If you havenât heard of Sword of the Stars: The Pit then you need to. Roguelike is a sub-genre of Role Playing Games (RPGs) in which players can only die once, and instead of story the focus is on surviving, leveling up, and advancing your character through an unforgiving world. Sword of the Stars: The Pit (available on Steam today) is the equivalent of the ideal Roguelike. With flawless execution in satisfying the everyday gamer as well as the genre veteran simultaneously, try playing it on âSeriously!?â difficulty mode right off the bat if you think youâre so tough that this gameâs too new age. It isnât. Youâll probably end up earning yourself the Ricky Fail Achievement for dying in the first round, which is just adding insult to injury at this point.
Halo: Spartan Assault Review
When 343 and Microsoft first announced a Halo game for your tablet/phone I was in between on my opinion. I really wanted to play Halo on my phone but was worried it might be a cash in at the same time. After playing some good hours in it I can finally have a true idea of what I like and dislike about this title.
Anomaly 2 Review

Anomaly 2 comes from 11 Bit Studios out of Warsaw, Poland. They are famous for their tower defense series Anomaly. They have also come out with several other titles including Funky Smugglers and Sleepwalkerâs Journey, both of which are iOS, Blackberry, and Android. In Anomaly 2 the year is 2034 A.C. and most of the earth is frozen over. The world population is unknown. Machines have returned to Earth and have the sole purpose to annihilate the human race. You play as a small squad. As you travel across the campaign you will meet Doctor Zander. With the help of his associates you will have Project Shockwave, which is the ultimate weapon to use against the machines.
Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Edition Review

Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Edition is the PC version of the mobile role playing game from Paradox Interactive which brings back the classic JRPG feel and gameplay many have known and fallen in love with since the early 90s and before. With this game you fill find a focus on gameplay above all else. For that we are appreciative, as most JRPGâs donât exactly have a great introduction. Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Edition is exactly what the RPG genre needed.
Things donât seem so bright.. (DARK Review PC)

DARK, as some of you may know, is a stealth action RPG. Thatâs a pretty funky and bold mix that Realmforge Studios and Kalypso Media undertook. A mighty bold undertaking as to which they have failed at.
